RCP Series records fourth winner in four races

The RC Passion One Ten EP Touring series recorded its fourth winner in four races on Sunday at the Taman Budiman Raceway at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas, Brunei.

The competition was just as tight among manufacturers in the Sultanate with the top five finishers all representing a different make of car.

Ashabirin Suhaili (Destiny) had to fend off a charging Adi Yusra Hj Adanan (XRAY) to finish on the top spot of the podium in a race that saw different winners in each of the three A-main finals.

The eventual winner finished second and first in the first and second final respectively to secure his win. Adi Yusra meanwhile started strong to win the first final but struggled in the second before finishing third in the last final to take home silver.

Brian Lim, piloting a Yokomo, finished third in the second final and second in the third to round up the final spot on the podium.

Fourth position went to Faizal Zoff Hj Awg Amit in a Serpent and Hj Tommo Abd Latif - the first place finisher in the third A-main final - finished fifth in his VBC.

Ashabirin's triumph meant that the series has seen four different winners in the first four rounds. Adi Yusra won the third round held early November while Pg Mohd Hisyam Fadillah Pg Yahya (Yokomo) and Md Zulhilmi Hj Apong (Yokomo) won the first and second round held in January and February respectively.

There are six races scheduled for the race calendar this season and the overall series winner will be crowned by tabulating the top five results of each racer from the six rounds.
